Who I am?

As I promised in the “Hello World” post, my first one, I’ll tell you who I am.

My name is Fernando Javier Martin, I live in Buenos Aires and I’m 28 years old.
I’m married and have a little baby.

I was born in Buenos Aires but at short age my parents went to live in La Pampa province. That’s where my nickname comes: “Pampa“

I get the “Técnico Mecánico” degree at a mechanical oriented highschool in La Pampa and when I came back to Buenos Aires I had the “Multimedia Designer” degree issued by “Escuela De Arte Multimedial Da Vinci“.

In my young years I passed by many different jobs but always with a computer in hands :)
Even the career I studied at “Da Vinci” is design-based I discovered my passion by programming.

So after this “discovery” I started working at home with web technologies: ASP and PHP.
Ah, by the way, I also like all what is server and networking related!

After a while I have the luck to get to work in a software factory company that it was the first stair of my professional carreer, where I learned the basics of web development.

In that time I was getting more and more feeling with PHP and MySQL, and even I used to program in many languages (ASP, JS, HTML, CSS, AS, LDAP, CAS, AJAX, etc.) I like the latters and I’ll tell you even more, I do prefer working on server side languages (put it like this: I try to avoid coding for the client side – sorry frontend devs :)).

After about 3 years I decided to leave the company and by circumnstances of life now I’m working freelance, comfortably at home, enjoying my work, and my family.

I also like to help as far my knowledge permits so I started to write this blog that for sure I’d like to hear any kind of comments about it and questions about coding too.

Feel free to write in spanish or english, I’ll try to get the best way for you.
BTW: I’m native spanish speaker and I do my best effort to write and read english, but please excuse me if there are errors in my texts :)

I don’t want to be boring, so “that’s all folks” …
